Rear calipers, best options and prices?

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

am after some expert advice. I need a set of rear calipers. My calipers are red on my VRS facelift (2010 year). My brake disc fitment is 282mm on the rear. I remember having issues a while ago and ordering 272mm discs, the reason I mention this is looking at calipers online the ones coming back look good prices but how do I know they are for my 282mm disc set up? I know these car part checker sites can get fitments wrong. Are the calipers one size fits all or different for different MK2's?

Does this look good for example?

Looking on the TRW website they have two different items for my car reg, there are four different red calipers, two right and two for the left but I cannot see a difference?

It's all a tad confusing to me, please help :(

I think Lucas/TRW calipers are right for 282mm discs which Skoda went to from 286mm discs from what I am reading.

So TRW rear red calipers should fit I think. Looking around they seem to match my brake pads and are £103 each for genuine TRW calipers which ain't bad...

I've used refurbished  TRW calipers from these guys all highly rate them.

They will fit as long as they look the same as your existing existing ones as it different carrier that allows it to be fitted to different size discs
