Discovered they are putting prices up already before the new release.

Don't panic! Nobody pays full list price for a new car nowadays, do they? :notme:

Course not but it still effects any finance deal....also first shot was little more than 3 weeks ago.

That is the release is it not, the prices of what you they are if and when you can get Face Lift Mk3 Fabia which will have WLTP approval and be able to be First Registered from September.

There are maybe better value cars around so no need to pay more than you think something is worth.

There will be old stock and Pre Reg 18 plate stuff around the UK that can not be sold unless it is registered before September.

Many manufacturers are already selling their Euro 6.2 engined cars. They are doing that to avoid having to discount 'left over' and pre registered models in August and September. My new C3 is fully Euro 6.2 compliant and is model year '20' from this last April. Obviously, there will be some nice deals on cars that have had to be pre-registered but probably not as many as you might think.

So 2020 model year started shipping in April 2018? I really am starting to get confused. :dull:

Me too xman. MY2020 in 2018 is quite some feat I thought, but that is the case, at least for Citroen. Many manufacturers seem to be onto of the Euro 6.2 engine thingy already and shipping them with their latest spec cars so I don't think there will be many Euro 6.1 engined cars around, so not many pre-registered motors. We'll see I guess.

Except mine

Delaership rang today

Fabia Monte with dsg won't be coming dealer who has it does not want to sell it

^^^ Is it a New car or a demonstrator they are not being allowed to sell?

Paid deposit to my dealer Friday lunch

car is in Middlesbrough new unreg

phone call today saying sorry we forgot to order it until today only to find out they have sold it over the weekend

one located at at another dealer which as it turns out was the dealer I was originally speaking to 10 days ago until my dealer suggested I order through them and forget that one

don’t worry though we will look for another or refund your money or factory order one (which they probably won’t due to doing me a deal to take a 18 plate rather than 68

anyway called them on the way home business manager didn’t even want to speak to me and passed a message through receptionist to say they’ve still not heard anything and they will call me back

daft thing is had he bothered speaking to me I would have suggested looking for a monte in estate as well as hatch or even a sel as long as it has dsg

its a pity Skoda don’t have central stock list like in cz when you can search dealer new stock

anyway we will see what transpires today

Good luck with that malc. Hope they get one. I'm still waiting for a definite delivery date on my new C3 so I know how you feel.

I didn't realise UK dealers don't have a central stock list.
