What grey is this please?

Featured Replies

Hi all

I’m searching around for a Yeti still and have come round to the idea of a grey one. I know there are Business Grey and Quartz Grey versions around on 2016-2017 cars in SE L Drive specs.

Could anyone say with any authority what colour this is please? Is it a gunmetal grey that was only available a few years ago? I like it a lot but it seems to be a bit darker than the Business Grey and a lot lighter than the Quartz Grey.

Many thanks

Not-to-be-noticed grey perhaps.

Thats a business grey but seems a much lighter colour. Maybe with black wheels on it would appear different.

Steel grey? I had a pre fl in steel grey which seems similar to the one shown.

It does look like a steel grey but I can't find that that colour has ever been available on the FL

not even early models?

Not that I know of but I'm just googling rather than speaking from any authority!

Yetibump,

Which country was that Yeti Ambition delivered to and First Registered in?

Maybe in some countries the Paint Code for the Yeti comes out as 'Steel Grey',  there were & are Steel Grey Metallic cars.

Now with Karoq / Kodiaq and maybe others while it is called Steel Grey in Continental Europe, maybe in Ireland, the color they refer to is Meteor Grey Solid in the UK.

(Primer grey as some like to call, it.)

It looks as though that Yeti Ambition is a German car.

So I think you’re saying Offski that whilst they are some steel grey skodas, and there used to be yetis in that colour, there are not facelift yetis in that colour in the UK?

Ive been put off L&K yetis by the brown leather so I’m looking to buy an SE L Drive spec car with black leather in black or grey paint.

I like the  Quartz Grey, I’d love a steel grey (of the past) but the business grey seems a bit too light and silvery for my taste.

I might be waiting a while for the right car to come up for sale as it’s a narrow range.

Thanks for the ongoing advice all.

Any model of Skoda or VW Group car can have a few or a few dozen or hundreds in colours or shades that were not an option customers knew about.

Media cars that were produced, limited show / display models. and sometimes someone orders a grey, silver or what other then the manufacturer changes what they manufacture.

ambition - Europe wide I think, certainly here in france, think it originally equated to the se level

That will be Europe wide then excluding the British Isles part of Europe.
