Netflix or Youtube on car screen?

Featured Replies

Hi folks,

Having just got my Superb to finally connect to Skoda Connect and do all the fun connected stuff like Google Earth it got me wondering - is it possible to watch Netflix or Youtube or videos of some kind on the nice big Columbus screen on the dashboard? I know if you stick a DVD in the head unit in the glove compartment then it will play, but I was thinking more of streaming stuff.

Has anyone done this?

Cheers!

not tested by self, i prefer separate devices:

Columbus 8" - fast access for Radio and Car

Phone 5.7" - Waze, Google Maps for online navigation + mp3, i-net radio

Tablet 10" - kids entertainment

Thanks, I'll take a look at that!

i can stream youtube to the headunit, via MirrorLink, but as soon as the car starts moving, the screen goes blank - safety measure.

no issues while stationary.

if i can activate/code video-in-motion (VIM), then you can get around the safety measure.

Do you need a MirrorLink app on your phone or is it just natively compatible with certain phones?
