Question About Assistants.

Featured Replies

Hey guys,

I was wondering which of the so called smart assistants (Auto Light Assist, Lane Assist, Blind Spot Detect etc.) are purely Software features and which actually require certain hardware.

For instance Front Assist supposedly includes the sensor cluster on the front of the car and the rest of the assistants that require those sensors are just software... (not sure about the front camera though)

Basically I want to know which options I have to order so that I can then enable all the rest with OBD (VCDS or OBD11)

Park Assist I know I need because of the button and stuff...

I'm not trying to be cheap but need to fit into a certain price for my financing...

Any Input will be appreciated!

Oh and BTW according to the importer here in Bulgaria, I can now order the Digital Dashboard. The only thing is that it may play a negative role on the delivery date ( take a little longer to deliver it)

I don't know anything about coding but the blind spot alert lights up something in the mirror, I presume the mirror is different on other cars, the lane assist uses the radar at the front of the vehicle and again I presume there are sensors on the steering wheel because if husband doesn't move his hands very often it bings and tells him to hold the wheel.
