This has probably been discussed before but.......

 

I’ve just changed the headlamps on my Mk3 fabia and we had to remove the bumper and then headlight units to change the lamps. The only issue is that I don’t like the colour of the lamps I’ve put in (too blue). 

 

What is the least painful way of replacing the lamps without removing the bumper?

When you say "lamps" - do you mean bulbs ? 

 

So, is it correct to read the above as - to change the bulbs, you removed bumper and headlight units ?

 

If that is the case - it is indeed possible ( a bit difficult alright, especially the first time ), to change the bulbs whilst leaving the Headlamp units in situ.

Indeed it is a massive pain in the bum but not impossible 

I think the h4 bulb on lower spec look easier to change than the h7

I’ll take the wheels off, that’s easy enough. The rest we’ll have to see!

And are they the kind that are inclined to create work for themselves ?

I’m a Sparky too, and they are correct, you plant bulbs in the garden
