Chip in paint :(

Featured Replies

So my red Monte has a chip on its bonnet and looks like it's gone down to the metal. Just wondering what repair kits people would recommend?

It's only a tiny one but don't want any rust to start.

Any Corrida Red touch up.  *8151* from a Dealer, online, or a Motor Factor local that mixes it.

But first drop a little rust inhibitor or etch into the chip to the metal with a pin or ****-tail stick. (lol c,,o,c,k,tail)

Let settle / react a few hours.

Then well shaken Red paint dropped in a few times to fill the chip, letting each small amount dry.

Just fill the chip, no bigger area.  a few days later compound down if required.

First thing is protect the bare metal.

Ok thanks for the tip. I'll see if I can find a paint mixer nearby :)
