LED HEADLIGHT BULBS

Featured Replies

Hi all I hope someone can help. So I have a 2009 skoda superb 2.0 tdi 170bhp and I'm not sure if this is coincidence but I bought some led headlight bulbs and ever since then when I'm driving at about 50mph the glowplug light has started to flash on dashboard. I've taken them out and replaced them with normal bulbs and the glowplug light hasn't been on since. Could it really be something as simple as light bulbs causing the problem?

Thanks

It stays on but when I turn engine off and back on its not there anymore and the car drives normal no problems at all while driving around town but it's when I'm on motorway going from 50mph to 70mph that's when the glowug light starts to flash and engine workshop sign comes on

Thanks I'm definitely going to check rear brake bulbs. The computer has been saying check rear right side light but when i look its working ok could that cause the same issue as the brake light do you think?

A friend has just messaged me to say he can get a friend to plug it into a computer for me

If he has VCDS or ODIS, you're all set to go - anything universal (like Delphi) may miss some specific errors, leaving you wandering for a few more days until you locate the issue

Ok I'll check what he uses. Thanks for your help and I'll get back to you to what he says

He didn't have the software that you mentioned. But on he's computer what faults did come up was oil sensor and glowplugs 3 and 4. Is it worth just taking it to a skoda dealer?

Ok, so following the link I gave you, maybe you can start with checking the glowplugs (it is one of the first items to check anyway when you get that error on the car's display)

Ok thanks I'll do that. When I find out what it is I'll let you know on here

So I managed to get the car into a skoda specialist and they put it on the computer and 4 fault codes came up glowplug 3 and glowplug 4. Boost pressure sensor and oil temperature sensor. Just waiting for them to get back to me
