Hi all,

 

I've just got this noise when i started up my skoda fabia mk2 VRS (1.4 twincharged), was wondering if anybody has any ideas?

Sorry not able to listen just now.

Asked the mods to move to the Fabia Mk2 Section.

 

So what have got, Timing Chain noise, Water Pump / Supercharger Magnetic Clutch or some other.

 

What age and miles of a Mk2 Fabia 1.4 Twincharger.

It is a 62 plate with the CTHE engine & 53k miles.

I have a 2005 MK2 Octavia 1.9TDI. When I got to work today my car had started making a similar noise. Mine is from the near side. It feels like clutch or gearbox issues. Was able to drive home with no loss of power, but on ticker the noise is bad. Ive done 117K and just had a service/MOT.

I got it fixed, it was the water pump. Cost £450 in total at a skoda specialist.
