Dpf, glow plug, exhaust control

Featured Replies

Hy Everyone,

I hope this is the right place for a technical question.

I having issues with my skoda fabia 1.6 tdi cr estate car. During this week on thursday the dpf light come up amber, i do drive short diatances suring the week, so it is happened before and all sorted with a longish motorway drive at 2500 in 4. This time next day from work to home a glow plug system light started to flash. Next day morning(saturday) i thought i drive to work and on the way home i pop in to skoda service and ask them but glow plug system light flashing is disappeared, and isntead the control system forbexhaust turned on. After this is was sure about i going to see skoda after work. So finished work, started to drive home and only the dpf light was on, I thought that is it, and as soon as i get home, i take it out at the evening to do the regeneration, drive 10min without any problem an as soon as i turned into our street both warning came up with the dpf light, so at the moment I having the dpf light warning on with a flashing glow plug system light, and the permament control system for exhaust light on. The engine put his self in emergency mode as well. The question is there is anyrhing i could try before i take it to the service? Plus is it sounds like could be covered by a  warranty? Any help is help and thanks.

Do you have a Warranty because you bought it as a used car, a Skoda Approved Used Car?

That would mean it has had 'The Fix' for the VW Emissions.  So it has a 24 month guarantee from the time that was done.

Up to Skoda to sort out an VW to pay for then if any faults.

There is the Trust Building Measure that VW gave and your 12 Month Skoda Used Car Warranty and your car has had the New Engine Management,

and the Flow Device fitted,

so have the Dealership or Skoda UK Arrange your Courtesy car and do not listen to any rubbish about you paying for the diagnostics and repairs if there is nothing they did that has affected the car.
