Any plans for DSG???

Featured Replies

Hi folks, just joined and my first post! I am replacing my company car - currently a BMW 320 Touring and have decided on a Superb Edition 100 1.9Tdi Tiptronic. I would hold off for the 2.0Tdi Elegance if an auto or hopefully DSG version were to be released since you can get this combination in the new Octavia. Has anyone heard anything??? Surely there must be an auto option on its way???

I believe it is something to do with the chasis and the DSG would not fit the current superb chasis. Lummox would know I expcet.

With a new model superb due in a year or so I wouldn't expect them to make any major changes now and that includes DSG I'm afraid

DSG wont work in the Superb as the DSG gearbox is transverse.

And as the Superb 2 is not going to be transverse like the Passat is now it wont be a new feature on the new model either,

My dealer told me Superb2 due later this year..complete with hinged boot/tail giving you a normal boot lid, or together a 5th door giving you a hatchback type affair.

theres a new skoda out every year until 2009 , roomster will be in august ish2006, fabia is due next feb 2007, then in 2008 we will have the Yeti and Yeti Cabriolet (fun) 2009 will be the new Octavia/Superb built into one so who knows! maybe but highly doubtful the new superb will be out just yet its only been 3years needs another 2 at least

Superb has been out four years now.

Superb has been out four years now.

shame it hasnt sold very well, 4years now wow time flies! i still dont think there going to do one just yet they have quite alot in the pipelines to be released- what with the new fabia haveing to be a class leader, hope it is as special as the 1st fabia they put alot into that car a very special skoda:)

It has sold far better than Skoda expected it to. Its on the back of the good sales on the Superb that the replacement has been given the green light.
