New Fabia owner Sydney Australia

Featured Replies

Hi all.

Just a quick intorduction.

I’m a 46 year old male from Sydney Australia.

Bought my first Škoda about a week and a half ago.

A candy white 2018 Fabia Monte Carlo wagon.

With the tech package. And I had the dealer add custom leather heated seats.

Black leather with perforated red inserts with red stitching.

I’ve done about 800km so far. And loving it.

Only one one thing I will have to get th edealer to look at, the keyless entry doesn’t always work.

Keyless start always does though. Other than that, it’s a great car. My first brand new new car too.

I will get a few better pics that weren’t taken the day I collected it.

I have a few minor plans for the car, but nothing too out there. Not I’ll warranty is over anyway.

Jason.

Thanks.

I think I I have a handle (pun intended) on why the keyless entry doesn’t always work as expected.

Looks like Iike if I lock the car with the remote button, then the keyless entry doesn’t work.

If I use the button on the door handle to lock it, then I can unlock just putting my hand inside the handle.

Odd that hat there’s no mention of this behavior in the owners manual.

Either way, as long as I understand the behavior, I can work with it.

Jason.

Yes - I had this with my GT86 although I always used the touch method making sure the keys were in my pocket.
