First time poster on here, i am trying to find somewhere or someone who does a cover for the bumper cut now i have had a detachable towbar fitted to my 2014 Oct VRS.

 

Any help would be muchly appreciated :)

Just to be clear, to fit the detachable towbar your fitter cut an aperture in the lower rear bumper. When not in use and the tow ball is being stored in the boot, you want to cover the hole?

 

Most detachable tow bars require only a small cut (depending on model, please fill in your car details in your profile), the estate varies from the hatchback, the Scout benefits from a removable / replaceable cover, so it is unusual to be able to see the cut.

Yes, thats the same sort of setup i have and when the swan neck is not used and plug is tucked up i have a hole which would be nice to have covered.... would the yeti one fit the octavia?? The fitter only cut premarked areas on the inside of the bumper so it will be the standard size.

On my car you can't see the cut due to the shape of the diffuser. The only way around this that I know of is to get a Rieger diffuser which is a great visual upgrade and they do one with a towbar flap. There isn't an OEM one for the Octy that I'm aware of.

Measure the existing hole, if it's smaller than the one on the Yeti then buy one of these, get the tow bar fitter to increase the size of the hole, and paint the cover...

It has a frame that fits to the bumper, which the cover then clicks into...

There are two covers made for the standard hole cut into the MK7 Golf estate bumpers...a small cover...to fit the factory hole cut into all MK7 Golf estate bumpers for factory drop down swan neck.....& a bigger cover to fit the size of hole required for aftermarket cover...

 

 

RGM UK make them..but sell direct to VW UK..the part numbers are not ETKA listed & mean nothing to ETKA...but you can get from any VW dealer..

 

Also they are plain black....

just get a Rieger diffuser and job done, heres mine with the Westfalia removable tow-bar fitted...
