Error: Airbag

Featured Replies

Afternoon all,

Installed my Nextbase hardwire kit into the car a couple of hours ago. Unfortunately, I pulled the wrong fuse with the ignition on. I pulled Fuse 29, the 10amp airbag fuse.

I re-seated it, but now get 'Error: Airbag'. I'm assuming this is because of the fuse pull and nothing more sinister as I've not been anywhere near any airbag hardware around the car.

I have a VCDS kit on order any way, but I assume gone are the days of removing the battery for a few hours to 'clear' any memory of the car?

Cheers!

Hi, did you get a resolution to this error alarm? Mine just popped up whist driving along in a 2015 Fabia diesel estate.

Think you're gonna need a suitable reset tool for that.  If you don't have access to such have a look at this map and see if there is anyone nearby that may be able to help you with it. - Briskoda VCDS Owners Map (click me)

We are going back to the garage with it today, hopefully they can fix it, not just “reset” it 🤞

😄 Yeah, sorry, I meant to one-finger type check the connections under seats and anywhere you might have been working behind the dash or on the steering but it didn't make it from head to finger.  If the garage have the right scan tool it should help track down the issue, and reset it, 😄 good luck.
