Engine temperature

Featured Replies

Hi, some advice needed.  I have a Fabia MK3, and have just had the water pump and thermostat replaced by a garage, to cure my over heating problem. The problem now is it take ages for the engine temperature to reach the 90 degree mark, first run out of the garage was 30+ mile to get the temp up to and to stay at 90 if I eased off the gas. I did 10 or so miles and the had a down hill for about a half a mile and the temperature droped right back down.  Any ideas on what is the cause,

The engine is a 1.4Tdi, I've not mentioned it to the garage as I picked it up yesterday evening.

What year is the car, what engine does it have, and was the garage a Skoda dealership or something else?

Have you told them yet that you think something is wrong?

Welcome.

Is this done under Warranty, under the Service Campaign,  at no cost to you, & at a Skoda Main Dealership,

and has the Coolant been changed as well for that as per the TPI ?

Time to get the car dropped off, collect a courtesy car until the Warranty Provider / Manufacturers arrange the correct repairs carried out correctly.
