Farewell...

Featured Replies

After such a short spell, I'm afraid that the time has come to say 'Goodbye...'

Sadly, my 2011 Scout with which I entered Skoda ownership, full of enthusiasm, turned out to be more of an expensive liability and unreliable than I could have ever imagined.

And I normally drive L***rovers...

The first nine months were fine and all seemed great throughout the snow, but then dreaded EGR/DPF issues began to rear their ugly heads & came close leaving Lady wife & offspring stranded many miles away, despite a long motorway drive, on more than one occasion. Three different garages diagnosed the above issues and having read up on the potential expense, plus the fact I was getting on first name terms with the 'Green-Flag ' operators (recovered more times than previous 18 years of aforementioned vehicles) , it was time to ditch.

I may return to VAG once the emissions farce is long gone, or probably petrol, but for the moment, I'm off to pastures new.

Thank you all for the advice during my brief spell here, maybe I just got a duff one!

B.

Sorry to hear that.  Hopefully your future experiences will be better
