If a robber is caught on cctv he will be easily caught if identified, likewise speeding motorists.

I wish! It’s a bit ironic that if your car is stolen the police do nothing,if it has a tracker they still do nothing.

It's not simply speeding,

It is regularly patrolled  by speed vans already.

This road is a rat-run short cut between the M4 and M5 PLUS a commuter route,  with around 35,000 vehicles per day using it, and regular closures due to serious and fatal accidents.

It also holds the UK record for speeding with a top speed of 167 mph in a Nisan GTR in Oct 2017.

This piece of kit is intended to (also) record such things as tailgating, mobile phone usage, dangerous driving etc.

Oh and lots and lots of revenue ££££££££

If they really want to drop the ocurrance of speeding they should put in average speed cameras.

I hate 'em but they work and there is no argument about being caught out by hidden cameras.
