  1. I think you can get new rubbers and VW call them coil pack towers. I had mine replaced as 2 were split causing a misfire.
  2. Dont forget the tax banding etc is based on the list price including extras and not on what you pay.
  3. The rear brakes needing replacing on my VW Bora before the fronts but that was at about 80k miles. But generally I have found the fronts and rears wear pretty evenly. Also the health checks are not very precise in my experience and opinion.
  4. I think Skoda warranties like VW are for cars up to 10 years old and 100,000 miles. The 6 year limit is for the All in warranty and service package.
  5. I always used to leave a manual car in gear. If the handbrake operates on the rear discs it has to be pulled up tight I believe as when the hot disc cools and shrinks the brake is inoperative. I
  6. The Golf SV has one of the highest seats, or if older the Golf Plus. My wife likes a high seat and has a Ford Cmax.
  7. The Audi range is very confusing. The new avant a4s seem to be standardised at 2ltr with the 35 being 150 bhp and the 40 at 203 bhp.
  8. A3 35 TFSI is only 1.5 ltr.
  9. Are you sure that is correct? the 2ltr has 150 kw output which is equivalent to 204 bhp according to the Audi website
  10. i drove past one a few years ago and received a £40 fixed penalty as I was spotted by a camera. No points.
  11. The 40k is based on list price not including any discounts etc
  12. Apparently from the second year. Vehicle tax rates: Cars registered on or after 1 April 2017 - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk)
  13. If your car had a list price of over £40,000, which it probably has with extras included, then you have to pay a supplement of £390 on the VED for the first 5 years.
  14. Or just put in in park and autohold will come on with no brake lights.
