Featured Replies

Has anyone replaced 1 and sufford oil leaks before.

A have changed mine and its leaking oil really badly and the back of the engine is soaking in oil.

Ave torqued it down to the correct setting according to the Haynes manual in the correct order.

Ave even took it back off and used instant gasket to try and seal it but it's still leaking am just wondering when a change the gasket am a suppose to change the bolts as well or not any suggestions would be great thanks.

Have you checked the PCV valve is not blocked ?

Is that the actual pipe or the cam cover where the pipe attaches to

Sorry I'm not familiar with your engine.

A blocked pcv valve or piping will lead to excess crankcase pressure. That can lead to sump gasket or oil seals leaking.

You need to trace the exact source of the leak. It might not be the cam cover joint but something nearby. It might be from the head gasket, from the turbo, from pipework etc.

Clean it up and then inspect when running.

Good luck.
