Passenger window not working anyone have the wiring diagrams?

Featured Replies

The passenger window has stopped working on both switches. I’ve checked the connector in the door and it looks ok. The central locking and switch LED looks fine so I’m hoping the wiring is good.

Both switches for the passenger side feel like they might be dead, the driver’s side clearly feels like it’s got 2 stages but the passenger switches feel like one stage without a good detent feel.

So does anyone have the wiring diagram for the windows so I can check end to end connectivity and try pinning out the switch to make sure the motor is good?

I don't have the wiring schematics but as you say the door connector is ok, it is not usually that, but the wiring INSIDE the rubber bellows that fracture and snap.

You will need to look at these first and DO look properly. Count the wires going in and out so to speak as they are quite thin and may snap so if you don't look right inside the bellow and be sure, you may just miss the issue.

As you say the issue is in both switches, I suspect the wiring loom on the passenger side most but things are not always what they seem and it is a common issue!

As for the switches, they too are prone to failure.. ```````````sometimes a strip and clean will suffice but they can be fiddly and you need to assemble them correctly and not lose bits. Replacement can be a better option and eBay will have them a lot cheaper then a main dealer but be sure to get the proper Skoda green ones as most will be VW red!
