Hi Guys,

 

Recently purchased a 2015 Skoda Fabia Mk3 SE and so far loving it  Made many VCDS adaptations and surprising how much can be done

 

However, because mine being the 2015 model which came with no MFSW controls and I believe this came standard in the 2016 models :( So I want to retrofit the MFSW as its something I miss :P

 

I did a handful retrofits in my 2012 Skoda Octavia VRS and loved it. However I believe going forward Skoda have changed how much retrofit you can do :( its seems most or all modules are protected to vehicle chassis?!?!?!

 

Wanted to ask if anybody on here have done this retrofit? Can we use the controls from a Mk3 Octavia or Superb? 

 

Any help would be much appreciated

Surprised you've not got an answer ... there's been a few people, a good while back, switching steering wheels ..

Thank you Mithane, however it confuses me more :P the couple of members who did the retrofit said the MFSW didn't function fully in the end.

OK - that's a pity ... guessing there's too many strands to pull together, between coding, wiring, components .. and think someone mentioned component protection as well. "They" just want us to "option up" in the showroom !

The coding and wiring am happy to do but no proper instructions to follow from :( I could perhaps try to get the parts listed and try them but then don't want to waste money if it don't work. Hate how VAG are trying to restrict retrofits outside the dealer network :'(

Bought a 2018 Fabia in august, and the dealer retrofitted MFSW in it. Just found out yesterday that the horn does not work. All other buttons and lights in the wheel works fine. You think they missed a cable or some coding?
