Esp esp tpms lights on

Featured Replies

Hi there. All of the above light's came on so diagnosis was the wheel speed sensor. I have replaced this and 10secs of driving the all came on again. I've have checked connection all fine there. Does anyone have any tips or ideas what else it could be as diagnostics says the same thing

Did you replace the entire wheel hub which incorporates the magnetic ring that the sensor uses to determine speed or did you just replace the sensor?

The problem is more often the magnetic ring has rusted so the sensor is not reading correctly, which requires the hub replacing.

Hi thanks for replying. I only replaced the sensor. I tested the sensor before replacing and it was definitely not working. I did suspect I might need to change the bearing. I wanted some advise before a fork out for a bearing.

Sometimes as the magnetic ring in the hub rusts it swells up and damages the sensor, may have also damaged the new sensor.

Were there any scratch marks on the sensor that would indicate possible rubbing?

Was hard to tell had to chap out the old one so would have damaged the end. However there seemed to be the right amount of clearance between the sensor and the magnetic ring on the bearing. Going to what you said though I never looked at the ring to see what it was like
