hi I am possibly going to become an owner of a Skoda fabia 2005 - I had a skoda fabia V reg which lasted for years so I love Skodas! The big deciding factor is that the one I am hoping to buy doesn't have any roof fixings! All there is a channel with plastic covering! Does anyone know if the brackets that I am seeing on ebay etc really do work - I have a Halfords box - think 25 kg max weight that I would like to fix to the bars!It appears various brackets come to the door tops or stick by suction! I am a non-car buff but the engine is good and mileage low and its diesel so I am happy with the car but need to carry a box on the roof from time to time! Ive already checked the dog cage will go inside! Getting my priorities right! 

I will buy this lovely car if it really is possible to fix bars securely and safely to it!
