Newbie alert - Fabia 65 plate - 1.2 tsi SE L

Featured Replies

Hi folks

Picking up a 2015 Fabia on Saturday - my first Skoda. Test drove it the other day and loved it.

What I didn’t remember to check is whether it has Smartlink - I have an iPhone and would like to be able to use it for navigation via Apple Maps on the nice big touchscreen display in the Fabia.

Does this model actually come with Smartlink? Google seems to offer differing answers.

Thanks

I own a 2015 Fabia and it doesn't come with Smartlink as it only has MirrorLink. IIRC smartlink was only introduced in the 2016 models or even early 2016 ones

Thanks singh946 - can I ask if yours is an early 2015 model or the later 2015 one?

I only ask as I've seen the info you've kindly posted on other sites, while others claim that Smartlink came in on the December 2015 models!

Guess I'll find out tomorrow anyway!

More likely an early 2015 if that's the case :)

Anything built from June 2015 on will have CarPlay so 65 plate cars should have it unless it was sat for months unregistered.

Thanks for your responses folks, glad to say that on picking up the car this morning, it does indeed support CarPlay, which I’m chuffed about
