Anti-corrosion warranty - 10 or 12 years on '07 Scout?

Featured Replies

Just bought a 2007 Scout, and it appears to have the popular tailgate number plate light corrosion issue, although it's fairly minor ATM and I knew about it when I bought.

I've read on several posts here about a 12 year warranty, but my owner's handbook says 10.

Which is it?

If it's 10, has anyone had success getting work done in Year 11? (optimistic question, but if you don't ask...)

I'm having some minor front-end accident damage assessed by my local Skoda dealer's bodyshop (someone else is paying) later this week, and wanted to know from the collective Brisky wisdom if it's worth making a fuss.

Thanks in advance.

Did you sort that out under warranty, I have corrosion on the top left and right side of the windshield. I bought my car used and it is from 2012. Could I ask for repair under warranty?

I've had no definitive answers to my question about 10 or 12 years, but you as you are undeniably within a 10-year A-C warranty period, there shouldn't be any issue unless your local dealer is particularly wriggly. Have a go and let us know how you get on...
