Guide me home lights

Featured Replies

Hey guys

I'm having an issue with my guide me home lights.

They are turned on through the dash configuration but they don't turn on, when you unlock the car or open the door to get out.

I'm not sure if a previous owner has been playing about with the coding because I've noticed the front drls flash with the insicators?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks jamie

The light switch has to be in the ‘Auto’ position IIRC (I don’t use my CH / LH lights), but yes the DRLs should not flash with the indicators, is this just whilst locking and unlocking the car?

It's when you use the indicators or hazard light.

Yes in that case it’s just been coded that way, however expect an MOT fail if they flash alternatively (white - orange - white - orange etc)

Hmm. Sounds like I'll need to change the coding on them. I'm assuming I can just change them from flashing to not active in the coding? I wonder if that's affecting the ch/lh funtion

You will need VCDS to change the coding, just reverse the following:
