VRS Stage 1 tuners - any issues/regrets 3-4 years down the line?

Featured Replies

So I guess we will have reached the point where some of you have been running "breathed on" VRS' for a good few years now.

Mine is still stock, has now hit 3 years old, 36000 kilometres and the warranty is over. I am seriously considering an APR tune and was wondering for those of you that have been running tweaked cars for 3 years upwards:

  1. Any mechanical or other issues as a result of the tuning?
  2. Any regrets? Was it worth it?

Cheers

Do it. Don’t wait.  You may eventually have to replace the clutch if it’s a manual. In the dry I.e. when you can get the extra power and torque down, it is fantastic. Stage 1 map for 13 months no issues whatsoever. Just had it’s 2nd MOT, no advisories at 35000 miles.
