Advice on mods and performance

Featured Replies

Hi all, only just joined. Driving a late 14 plate Octavia VRS TDI DSG and looking for advice with future upgrades. Owned my VRS since April 2018 and after many debates with the wife (shackle n Chains), I’m looking to put some money into my beloved car.  To summarise I need advise On the following, please bare in mind I’m working off an effordable budget having to support a small family, mortgage and expensive season ticket... not forgetting the beer fund.

- Suspension. (I want the stance to lower but not really low, if you know what I mean).

- Tuning. (stage 1 ideally but what else shall I change to compensate).

- DSG tuning. (Any one had this done and is this worth it)?.

- Front splitter. (Recommendations).

This is my second Ocatavia, first was a 2010 1.6 tdi which I purchased as a family car not long before my wife gave birth to our only child. From that point just fell in love with the Skoda badge. Before my love affair I was a JAP freak and owned a 06 Civic Type R Premium addition with HKS Racing induction before wrighting it off in a immature driving situation.  After an expensive insurance bill I bought a swift sport 08 and again seeked the HKS induction kit, although the power dropped it was still a really fun car to drive. The veriale valve timing was so sweet when you hit that power band.

Looking forward to the responses.

Regards,

Luke
