Which fuel filter????

Featured Replies

Looking to change my fuel filter very soon...'56 reg BXE, there seems to be 3 options of different sizes!? How can I tell which I'd need without taking the old filter out? Everywhere I look using the reg to find parts gives the same 3 options which are different sizes....

On the side of the filter housing there is a manufacturer. Mann or UFI are such examples. Helps to narrow it down. Even at TPS they can’t provide the right one until you tell them this.

Or just buy all three, so you only have to do the job once. Then take the others back.

They're all less than £10 each.

For my 2005 BJB it is the Bosch 1 457 070 007 or Mann PU936/2X

But in doubt, check for the label on the fuel filter housing orremove the the old one and measure its length/diameter so you're sure to order the correct one.

Had a search, its a UFI. Looked at their website, checked specs and sizes, purchased a replacement from Wilco's, Wrong size! Didn't notice the centers are different! Back to factors tomorrow, hopefully they'll have the right one!
