Service book

Featured Replies

I’ve got something with the new car ‘handover’ information in it, but there doesn’t seem to be any room for service stamps???

It’s got a fsh as I’ve got all the receipts and information of what was done

I find this a bit bizarre that there doesn’t seem to be any service book, is this normal?

if it’s not, would I be able to get a new one and get it stamped up if I showed all the receipts

Service Books are a thing of the past, all electronic these days. If you stick to Skoda dealers then you'll have a full electronic service book.

This is my first car without a physical book, my last car was a 2011 vRS and that had one.

I have purchased a folder and in that I shall put each and every receipt I get in relation to this car - I'll create my own service "book" so to speak.

I now have mine serviced with a non dealer Skoda specialist garage, and as the Skoda specific online system won’t be updated will just keep all the service records with the log book, together with any non service work carried out. At least I will have paper proof that the work has been done.

Skoda will print you off a hard copy. I like to have something in the file at home along with the receipts.

Some independents can also do digital now. I do not have a service record book but have all the receipts. "stamps" were also very open to fraud so its not a surprise that they are being phased out by the main dealers.

This.

have the most recent print out, together with last years independent service report/receipt tucked away in the owners pack.

You can also view/download the service history in the MySkoda App.  It isn't very informative however.

I must have one of the last service books but it is only a tick box list of what should have been done. I also get a printed detailed worksheet of advisories etc. showing tyre depth, name of technician and breakdown of costs.
