Hi everyone,

I am new to the Skoda owners club. I am currently 17 years old and recently passed my driving test, I have my heart mostly set on a MK1 Fabia vRS as my first car and know this will be a great place to get in depth opinions and help when I come to purchase one. I plan to modify it tastfully (if insurance allows it) such as lowering springs or black trims which will compliment the car.

I know this may be a bit ambitious as my first car but the insurance with a black box is roughly £1500 which is the same as most of the other motors out there, I aim to try my best to find a reasonable quote without a black box as it is the vRS and I would love to enjoy it the way it's meant to be used and not with a restriction.

Welcome and congrats on passing your test!  Hope you get on the road for reasonable money.  We've all been there before trying to get our first insurance.

I think unfortunately you will find it really tough to find competitive insurance without a clack box I'm afraid.
