I have a 2017 skoda octavia with a dsg box only done 38000 miles .i have been out all day this evening start the car it is making a banging noise coming from the engine bay but when i starting moving the noise will go and when i stop at a junction it will start again.just manage to take to local garage that service all the local taxi company skoda and he says it is a flywheel issues. I need some help 

Take it back to Skoda-warranty issue.

That what the mechanic told me l have the same problem qith my last car from the sister company vw and it was a flywheel problem becasus i am a taxi driver they did not fix it because i was out of warranty. I dont know if i will have the same issues with this one it not even 2 years old and only 38000ml on 

Do you not get a manfacturers warranty if you use the car as a taxi?

Warranty is 2 years unlimited 3 years 60k miles...

The initial findings from skoda it is the flywheel that is gone but they are going to take everything apart to see why it failed early on the car.The guy that i have been dealing with at the service department have been straight forward with me and helpfull 

This is an update my car has been fix by skoda under warranty .It wss the flywheel that went.
