Hi everybody, i get my new octavia rs, with colombus.. i like and works everthing, my favourite car!! I have only one question, that media sources, like bluetooth, sd card, usb, hdd, BUT WHAT IS WLAN SOURCE? When i choose, can t use, because NO COMPATIBLE APP... 

how to possible wlan source from phone? Wifi music or what? I dont understand this part...., thank you and wait for answers...

you have answered your own question. you can set your phone as a hotspot and the car will connect when in range and set. have you inserted the sim?

And all of this question start that android auto audio quality is terrible on canton sound... but when you use android auto, cant connect other device to bluetooth because android auto use... so thats why i try the wlan source.. 

or any other advice?

ok so there are several scenarios, you can use spotify/deezer/google music both through android auto and bluetooth, perhaps if you set the spotify qulaity to high it will sound better. I use spotify and the quality is much better even than DAB.

Personally, I use Spotify or Audible on Android Auto and find the sound quality to be really good.

 

You are using Android Auto via a USB lead and not trying to use it via Bluetooth? Other than that, I've run out of ideas.

no offence but thats rubbish, dont believe everything you read on the internet. Unless you have upgraded your stereo to BandO you wont notice ANY difference. fit decent speakers and an AMP and you will!, the limiting factor isnt android its the crappy skoda speakers, i know because i changed mine, I didnt read about it on the internet.

The WLAN is more for skoda connect and skoda apps AFAIK

with app bubbleupnp you can stream music from phone via WiFi to infotainment. choose source media wlan

Bubbleupnp works but the delay is too long !
