Paddle extensions

Featured Replies

Hi all

I have recently been looking for paddle shifter extensions for my 60 plate vrs there seems to be different types and is confusing me a little does someone know the exact type I need to get or have a link for eBay

Hi there

I have a 12 plate Vrs which I put shift extenders on, makes them so much easier to use. I tried eBay ones for the VRS and they were awful, would not stick, cheep and nasty plastic things despite the descriptions so sent them back for a refund.

What I fitted were from these people: https://www.pinalloy.com/collections/paddle-shifter-for-audi Check that your shifters look like the ones in their pictures and get the appropriate flat or curved ones in the style you like, I went for the black V2. They are CNC aluminium and clamp on with four tiny grub screws. Easy to fit and great in use. Only down point is if you park with the wheel 1/4 turned with a shifter at the bottom you can clonk your leg on it when getting back into the drivers seat. Hope that helps.

Ebay/Pin Alloy............Not saying I'm correct here but I'm pretty sure they all come from china, You can Pick up the ones Kobayashi's mentioned on Aliexpress for less than a fiver if you don't mind waiting 2-3 weeks on delivery.

Particularly the ones on that pinalloy are marked up for nearly triple the price, I bet they are from china too.

...Not sure where you are going there... Many things are made in China and many Chinese things are adequate-great, even!

There are, of course, many things made in China, among other countries, that are not worth the plastic/metal, etc they are made from!

Developing countries often "Copy" other countries and build things cheaply but poorly, getting better and better over time. Chinese cpas and motorcycles are now a reasonable bet. As are Korean (KIA) And other countries products. It was, after all, not THAT long ago, people used to rubbish Japanese motorcycles/cars, now they rule the road!

Please think twice, prior to rubbishing a countries products, after all, we all drive Skoda's here! (If you are wondering what I mean by that, you are either very young or have a short memory).

When did I rubbish other country’s products? My post was simply stating you can order the exact same Dsg paddles from China yourself via aliexpress therefor saving the x3 mark up price on eBay/pinalloy.

Perhaps before you get long winded again , read my comment back and see I was trying to do the OP a favour.

Mickmartin, that was in no way meant to criticise your comment, hence my saying not sure where you are going there....

I get the comment about saving but people do often assume China equates to cra-ubbish! The not sure part was as one could read the post as saying "Buy these, they are Chinese" or They are all Chinese anyway so may all be poor, save money and pay less!". I was merely saying Chinese is not always bad. I think you are in agreement there anyway.

As for long winded, if you think five lines of writing is long winded... :time:

Well just to throw a spanner in the works................I think they all look hideous!!........

If you couldn't see where I was going with my post, What was your need to ask me to think twice before rubbishing other country's products and why comment on something you didn't fully understand?

The irony of asking me to think twice before posting.......
