Short Circuit

Featured Replies

Hi guys

I have 2013 skoda superb, and I seem to have an issue when ever i go over a bump or turn left the Columbus system starts to play up.

It will cut out all sound

Say it reconnecting Bluetooth but in actual fact Bluetooth never disconnects

The volume control will stop working

It will come up with errors saying optical parking system unavailable and cant currently display temp?

Any ideas what could be causing this?

I am assuming it has got something to do with a wiring issue but wouldn't know where to start

Thanx in advance

This may be a bit left field - I had a few errors pop up on my car when going around a roundabout.  First error was that the ASC not functional.

Light went out and I assumed a glitch.  Few days later, another roundabout and a bunch of errors came up including the parking system (plus AFS, ASC, TPM...).

They didn't go out. Turned out to be a faulty rear wheel speed sensor that finally went kaput. I'm wondering if yours is on the way out and is sending spurious signals which is tripping the system?

In any case - you need to get the fault codes read to confirm that or any other module/wiring fault.

In July last year I offered to help with this problem. Still waiting....
