Seized rear caliper

Featured Replies

I have a 2010 VRS that the rear offside caliper has seized on. I'm looking at replacing both calipers. I've no idea about sizes etc so can anyone confirm that this link is what's needed.

While I'm replacing both calipers is there anything else I should also be changing at the same time?

Handbrake cables for sure.

Discs and pads unless they are less than a year old. Might as well as they are relatively cheap and once done one less thing to do later.

Flush all brake fluid through. 2ltr of Dot4 from ECP is cheap to flush all four corners.

when I did mine, one of the metal pipes on the old caliper sheared off and had to get a new pipe, but other than that only new brake fluid was needed.

This is what calipers I used and couldn't fault the quality

That metal pipe sheared off on mine too. We fabricated a new one and all is good now. I went with the calipers I linked above, new handbrake cable, Mintex discs and pads and also flushed the fluid. Cheers for the replies.
