Fasten Seatbelt Warning

Featured Replies

Accidentally posted this in the wrong section so I'll try again..

Hi

I know this has been posted before with good explanation of the fix, but the good old unplug the clip under the seat method hasn't worked - mainly because I can't seem to find said magical clip and I haven't been able to get to a Skoda garage or find someone with VCDS yet..

Seatbelt warning bing bong seems to sound randomly, it's the '08 Octavia L&K estate I've got, the seat is electric and I'm a little worried about just unclipping things, I can't even see the clip with the blue cables that's referred to in previous posts.

Anyone got any ideas?

Thank you 🙂

Unbolt the seat and tip it backwards. Be a lot clearer to see then.

Really randomly?

There's something similar with my father's '07 Octavia but it's not randomly. It happens where you lean forward (even a bit) or hit a speedbump or so. Belt gets some tension and it beeps.

About the solution. Sorry - he doesn't care much about that :)

Yeah it seems to be completely random - I've thrown myself about in the seat and it doesn't seem to set it off.

It's really driving me mad - not sure how your father ignores it! 😄

I've had no luck with a solution as of yet..  fingers crossed.

Thank you. Do you know if said clip exists under the seat in this model? As I just can't seem to find it anywhere 😟

The wiring will be under the seat coming from the buckle yes. The floor connection point is probably be easier to get to though. Shift the seat back and pop up the plastic cover on the floor.

my local vag independent turned mine off permanently via his laptop for 20 quid.

I unplugged mine, but i don't have electric seats........
