2020 MY Superb Scout Review

Featured Replies

Not had the chance to watch this yet, but Thomas’ videos are usually very good and in depth.

So, it’s taken me a few days to get round to watching the video, which personally I enjoyed.

Thomas (the presenter) is pretty pro Skoda and the car gets a good review, with some criticism around the lane keep assist. I’m not sure if it has changed from the 2019 car, but I didn’t like the way it interfered on mine (2019) so switched it off..seems like any improvements haven’t really done much.

Excellent fuel economy, 4litres per 100Km (70.6 mpg) on the motorway section is impressive for a car with the Haldex 4 wd system mated to the 190 bhp Diesel engine.

biggest downside of the video is that it’s almost an hour long So grass still hasn’t been cut...best get out there before Swmbo comes home!

I really enjoy Thomas's videos, some might find them a bit long but they are always on point and of really good quality..

I do always find the phrase swmbo amusing as it this is Wikipedias explanation of the phrase

I like his reviews because they all about the car and not the presenter. He also shows a deal of common everyday perspective. I

I do like his 'animal skin' description for 'leather' upholstery AND

Ow toe ge fool     just makes me smile everytime 😅😅😅

I'd love to know how he got 70mpg from a 4WD 190. My (2017) 190 2WD only gets 60 at very best, and usually 55. Incredibly impressive if true.

Nice test, but we don't learn that much... (for those who already own a MK3)

What about "off road capacity"? Of course it's not a pure 4WD as a Land Rover for instance, but how does this Scoout version behave on simple off road paths?,

The critics about the steering wheel angle offset sincerely made me laugh. Lane Assist System is immediately questionned with wacky hypothesis about technical or engineering reason. Did he imagined a second it could be a simple msialignement during assembly?

I have Lane Assist on my MY2017 and the steering wheel remains perfectly aligned and straight on straight roads when the system is activated.

Otherwise, the test enables reviewing a lot of aspects. Nice! 👍
