P068A - Power Relay Error

Featured Replies

Firstly, thanks to Tunedude for a VCDS  scan that identified this problem.

No MIL light on dashboard yet.

VCDS suggests

  • Wiring and/or Connector(s) from/to Power Supply Relay (J271/J317) faulty
  • Power Supply Relay (J271/J317) faulty

Anyone any ideas or similar problems ?

Anyone any idea which of the relays in the box that I need to look at ?

Is the fault permanent?

Not sure....Tunedude id’d the problem which I wasn’t even aware of as no MIL light on dash. I wasn’t even aware of the issue.

After clearing everything, car was MOT’d and road tested for about 10 miles, MIL light popped up for two problems (see pic) and runs OK.

I’d think the MIL is caused by the second problem.

I agree but struggling to find root cause of that issue also....

Relay 4, which is top row right-hand end, as far as I can see.

For the vac leak, brake servo hoses are always worth a good look at/feel of the terminations of the hard plastic sections.

Thanks

Evap valve or pipework issue perhaps?
