Digital Speed Display Disappeared on MaxiDot Display

Featured Replies

Hello!

Having done much searching elsewhere, I felt the need to make this post!

When I acquired my Fabia 1.2 TSI SE (Mar 2015) with MaxiDot display about a week ago, the central figure displayed on the driver's dashboard was the "digital speed display", which was very useful and is my preference over looking at the speedometer.

However when I was fiddling about with my new car and finding out what everything was for, I unticked the box "digital speed display" under the instrument cluster settings. I saw instantly that this changed the driver's dashboard to "range" (as pictured). I then re-ticked the box for "digital speed display" (with the aim of getting back the "digital speed" on the driver's dash) yet the "range" did not switch back to the "digital speed display" and remained on "range"! 😨

I tried turning the car on and off (multiple times) and the range remains even when I am driving (ie. doesn't switch to "digital speed" when the car is in motion). There are no wands or buttons on the steering wheel to flick through options on the driver's dash either... I have attached photos of my current instrument cluster settings for reference (does something take priority creating this issue?)

Would be very grateful for any ideas of how to solve this 😊

Hi mate, have you tried using the black scroll wheel on the right centre of the steering wheel? This wheel changes what is shown in the centre display.

From the manual.

If you have no buttons/wheels on the steering wheel you use the rocker button on the end of the right stalk.

Also the button under the same right stalk. Wipers stalk.

See from page 43 onwards.

Cheers! This worked! I even read through that part of the manual... 🤦‍♀️
