Enabling Options.....

Featured Replies

Hey up all,

The Mrs has just ordered a race blue and black Colour Edition which she'll be collecting next month. I've seen mention in other threads that HHC, cornering fogs and needle sweep can all be enabled via VCDS but I wondered if the blind spot monitor and driver fatigue warning can also be enabled via VCDS?

Cheers.

Driver fatigue maybe, but definitely not the blind spot monitor. That requires a lot of additional hardware, in the form of radar sensors (not the same thing as parking sensors) in the rear bumper area and warning lights in the wing mirrors.

TBH the driver fatigue monitor on my Ibiza is a bit pointless. I certainly wouldn't pay money for it.

I enabled needle sweep on my old Fabia, it was easy with Carista.

As mentioned, by vc-10 the blind spot monitor can't be enabled by VCD. The options I've enabled on my Blue/Black colour edition via the Carista app/OBD2 is: Needle sweep, Scandinavian DRL which enable the rear lights to be on as well as the front DRL, anti-hijack door lock when the car gets above 5mph (wifey wanted this) and cornering fog lights. I've also enabled Hill Hold which was part of the `beta' release of the app, so not sure if it is in the current non-beta version.
