Rear windscreen wiper not working

Featured Replies

My rear windscreen wiper is not working I’ve checked fuses the pump works so I’m wondering if there’s a problem with motor or is it a relay or something, my 12v sockets gone off also so wondering if it’s a common fault any help greatfully appreciated.

Worth a fault code scan and check live data to see if the switch is sending out the signal.

Ok I’ve got a friend who has a code reader I didn’t think that sort data would show up thanks .

Probably won’t on an OBD reader. Need VCDS or Carista etc.

Ok thanks I’m not familiar but heard of vcds can you get a app for iPhone or something ?

Carista can be run from your phone and a Bluetooth reader.

Ok thanks for your help.👍

sometimes on the MK2 rear wiper doesnt seem to work or to take ages to come on (an intermittent fault), mine does this every now & then, 12V socket working ok.

Doesnt seem to be weather dependant or temperature just decides itself not to work.

Well the 2 / 3 systems are not linked, washer pump working does not mean Fuse for wiper motor is ok.

I would double check Fuse 26 and Fuse 47.
