Fabia 1.2 6v CHFA bad emissions

Featured Replies

Hi boys! For begining sorry for my bad english.

I've got Fabia 2 1.2 HTP 44kw with 49t km and now the problem. At the measurement of emissions CO in high rpm is bad, arround 0,48 but limit is 0,2. I changed o2 sensors, sparks, plugs, g62 sensor. Cat is ok. There is no leak on exhaust system. I went to skoda dealer for check and everything with car is ok. Just they cannot measure the emissions.

Does somebody here got the same problem? Have you any of solution?

I've got only 12 days to make it right or send the car to scrapyard.

Thanks for any advice

Firstly, where are you? Why will you need to scrap the car?

Other then that, try using product, such as Cataclean... They do one for petrol engines, one for both petrol and diesel engines and a dedicated diesel version. (I use that from time to time).

Get the correct version, add it to a quarter tank of fuel and drive for a good half an hour, with a good range of speeds. Don't just drive a few mins to the shops!

When you have done this, just fill up as usual or even repeat the process with a second bottle of fluid. (Worth it if it means keeping the car on the road).

I find the diesel version to be very good and I would recommend using it at least twice a year, every three months if the car seems "Dirty". Particularly if you are coming up to an annual MOT, as we in the U.K. have, once a year.

It can be obtained from Erocarparts or Carparts4less, etc but I usually get it from eBay and buy two bottles to save more money. I can even get the two for around the usual price of one, give or take a little.

It is a very easy, cost effective way of cleaning up a decent amount of emissions from the tailpipe!

Others will also recommend products they like, such as Archers, I think and a Forte product but Cataclean is the one I personally opt for and it has yet to fail me...

Best of luck.

Because I live in dumb country :D I used LQ cleaner for engine for better emission but it makes nothnig productive. 300km in 3000rpm and higher

Your CAT is probably not OK.

A working cat changes CO to CO2 when up to temperature and does not rely on sensors etc just sufficient oxygen to do the job
