Clim problem

Featured Replies

Hello everyone,

Excuse me for my  poor english, thanks to google translate for help :)
Thank you for welcoming me to your forum is very valuable.

The clim climatic of my skoda Octavia 2 2009 1.9 tdi 105 has not worked for a long time.
So I undertook to restore it, I took it to a car garage that first showed me a leak of the condenser (which I changed). They then told me that it was necessary to change the compressor because it was the disease on these cars. I had them done because I had to go on vacation with a young puppy and I did not have time to do it myself. They also changed the pressure switch. Result it still does not work. They were nice handed the old compressor and refunded the diagnosis of 120 €.
I then put myself a new compressor has recharged air conditioning and obviously it still does not work.
There is no defect in the scan vcds and when I look at the different values (outside temperature, inside ...) everything seems correct but at the same time I am far from being an expert.
The fuses are good

The car garage told me that it could come from the control panel of the air conditioning because when they connect the compressor live it works.

The cable that goes to the compressor has apparently been cut and patched but I do not think it comes from there because when I disconnect the connector I have a default on vcds. I had the car new but I can not see who could do this manipulation (maybe the car garage to connect the compressor live).

When I turn on the air conditioner, the fans start but there is no contactor noise and the engine speed does not move at all.
Last clue that I think is unrelated, when we put the ventilation  over 2, there is (a long time since) a noise as if something was stuck in the pipes, it vibrates.

I have browsed a lot of Forums but I do not know anymore what to do. If anyone has ideas, I'm interested.

Thank you for reading this post a bit long

I wish you a nice end of the day

A good starting point is looking in the live data.

Check the following

Compressor shut off code

Specified compressor current

Actual compressor current

Interior temp

Exterior temp

Evaporator temp

Check the system pressure in VCDS plus the compressor shut off code, the fact that the fans come on is a positive sign, it may just be low on refrigerant gas.

Where are you in France? I have just invested in a manifold set for diagnosis and a vacuum pump so can now do most things.

Ou êtes vous en France? Je suis en Picardie et je possède tout ce qu'il faut pour diagnostiquer la clim et travailler dessus.

Thanks a lot for your answers.
I do not know why but I do not have access to the measurement groups for block 08 of the air conditioning.
But I still could take these values

Compressor shut of code => active compressor, there is no cut-off condition. But I could not find a real code.
actual compressor current => I can not find it
interior temp 44.9
exterior temp 29
evaporator temp 38.3
compressor load 3.7 and 4.2 after 5 minutes
Refrigerant  pressure 8.6 bar and 9.2 after 5 minutes

Thank you very much for your proposal J.R I live in Saint Malo in Brittany.

Thank you very much for the link to the diagrams electriques but it is not free and it seems to me that the diagram of the air conditioning is absent.
In the owners workshop there are all diagrams except the one of the clim 😞
My problem may come from the relay but I do not know where it is and what is its number.
Could someone inform me?
If you have other ideas for my problem it would help me a lot.

Have a nice day
