Engine oil

Featured Replies

Any one know if that’s the right oil for the fabia?

Its the 1.2 tsi.

Also does any one know if it uses a cam belt or a cam chain at all?

The oil is perfect for a 1.2 TSI getting fixed service oil changes so every 372 days / 9,400 miles or sooner.

It is VW 504 / 507 so 5w 30 FS III (long Life) that is required for Variable / Flexible servicing / Oil & Filter changes.  (long life oil, short life for TSI engines IMO.)

Timing Chain.

But the long life oil can also be used for fixed service oil changes, if you wish? The prices do not vary by much imho.

@gregoirIt can be.

But Long Life oil and short lived TSI's can be an issue, so maybe just as well ignore VW's recommendations,  they are not your friend, just car manufacturers, and sometimes lemon makers.
