Best Roof Bars

Featured Replies

So i am considering getting a set of roof bars for a roof box (well maybe one of those ones that folds up after use), anybody know of a set which are easy to fit ?

Probably, the general consensus would be a set of Thule roof bars. They usually come in kits and can be expensive new (£180) but usually lock or locks are available and often can be re-used on other cars, with the appropriate footpack. This means you can use them on a few cars but they usually sell well again anyway. Halford's Exodus are a virtual copy and are supposedly made by Thule anyway, usually a little cheaper but trickier to find used.

Skoda list a set, too which again, are similar, again, pricey. Cheap bars are available on Ebay, by manufacturers that are not so well known but can be had for around £50

I personally would go for Thule and buy a good used set.

Thanks for that, i will pop into Halfords and take a look

Just so you know, someone is selling a roof box in the for sale section, in the Chesterfield area. Its a grey plastic small/medium sized box and they wanted around £40 for it. Might be worth a haggle!
