Boot light

Featured Replies

Hi All,

Ever since I bought the car, last year, the boot light hasn't worked.

How can I check if this is a fuse, or the bulb, or something else?

And if it's a simple bulb, how do I replace it?

Thanks,

Damian

The boot and glove box both require fuse to be taken out. You can check the boot by swapping the 1 of the 2 map reader bulbs (if you have this configuration)

Hi Kobayashi,

Do you mean that I should try the glove box bulb in the boot?

I'll take a look.

Thanks,

Damian

Yes you could that but easier to pull out one of the map readers there's usually 2 next to the main festoon, I think when you replace a bulb its 50/50 chance of working as positive / negative, so turn other way if doesn't.  I replace all mine with LED

This was an east one to fix.

When I removed the boot bulb, I could see that it just wasn't plugged in!

Luckily, the wire was right there, so I scooped it out and plugged it in.

Now all is well.

Almost a year without it and I just needed to plug it in! 🙂
