After many hours of cursing and talking to the F$"^$WITS at Halfords (sold me the wrong removal keys twice with looking at the car on both occasions, second time I learnt my lesson and opened them in the car park), I managed to removed that piece of “poo” from my dashboard. Don’t get me wrong it has some real cool features but the noise output and clarity sucks, put my 2 year old Kenwood http://www.dvbcaraudio.co.uk/product/Kenwood_KDC-W6027.html) and boy was I impressed.

I read so much about how poor the speakers were but I thought they coped quite well but the main reason for this post was the amount of hassle I had fitting the darn thing. I read it was fairly easy with all the correct tools, but this tool had some real problems and only way I coult get it in all "nice" was removing the bottom part of teh facia adapter, still looks OK, but not perfect.

Are there any Kenwood’s that fit more "flush" with the dash, dont mind if its not kenwood but would like to use my existing adapter (tight **** I am). I would like a head unit that fits with the dash nice and flush and play mp3.

Thanks in advance and i'll post a pic so you know what I mean

I will be having my 7 day anniversary with my VRS this Friday and plan to treat her to a nice wash and wax oh and hopefully tears the **** out of her too OOOer missus

B*l*x! More expense! Though maybe the genesis amp. is already an expense too far....

Will now accelerate plans to drive the speakers through the laptop or similar to compare with the o/e headunit and changer. Have a feeling I'll be buying an autoleads adapter soon....
