After removing my silica bag in the expansion tank of my GTD I've been stressing I might have done the wrong thing.
Just thinking though and it may be a bit  too simplistic but.... how about using a high flow clear fuel filter inline? (Under expansion tank)
A second stage of protection with a visible indicator if blocked.
