On my dash board where the trip ometer is on the top it reads miles covered but underneath it reads Km/h speed , can this be altered to mph . Peter 

Most makes of car have the speedo marked in mph and kph but Skoda/VW group chose to mark with just one of these. To be legal, they then added the digital display in the alternative system.

 

Search on this forum and you will find how to do what you want by fooling the car into thinking it is in another country.

Remember you will need to change it back if you go to Eire or the continent.
